Desert Elements Landscape Design, LLC is a landscape design firm dedicated to the principles behind sound landscape and environmental design. Our mission is to provide innovative, aesthetic landscapes while effecting positive change on the urban environment. Services provided include site planning, hardscape and surface design, landscape and irrigation design, computer visualization, estimating, and construction observation. Our experienced horticulturist, designers, and licensed irrigators have designed hundreds of commercial landscapes in the city of El Paso, TX. We are accustomed to coordinating client needs with local ordinances to create noteworthy landscapes while meeting project budgets.

  • To introduce and encourage better landscape design on a city-wide basis.

  • To promote responsible development of land and land management, to include permeable surfacing, on-site water retention, water harvesting and re-use, planting of trees, and use of Xeriscape practices.
  • To introduce more modern landscape design concepts to El Paso.
  • To support other local companies by specifying local products in plans.
  • To increase the use of public art in the realm of landscape design for the city.
  • To promote the use of "green" products - recycled, water conserving, and otherwise.
  • To create relationships with landscape contractors resulting in increased knowledge and awareness of project issues, for both parties.
  • To provide training to help create talented, productive employees with horticultural and design knowledge.
  • To provide a fun, productive environment for employees.

Jennifer Barr Ardovino
Principal, Desert Elements Landscape Design, LLC

Jennifer has eleven years of experience working in the fields of horticulture and landscape design, providing services that include site planning, landscape and irrigation design, computer visualization, estimating, and construction inspection for projects ranging from residential and commercial to public and municipal. Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree in horticulture with an emphasis on landscape design.

In 2008, Jennifer formed Desert Elements Landscape Design where she, along with two other designers and licensed irrigators provide colorful, aesthetic landscapes while effecting positive change on the urban environment. Jennifer has acted as principle designer on numerous campuses in the Chihuahuan desert Southwest.

Carlos Holguin
Landscape & Irrigation Designer

Carlos is a Texas licensed irrigator and has five years of experience working in the fields of landscape and irrigation design. His skills on computer aided design, rendering and modeling contribute to the abilities of an already well rounded team at Desert Elements.

Selene Armijo
Landscape Designer

Selene has fourteen years of experience working in the fields of landscape and irrigation design. Her experience includes site planning, landscape and irrigation design, estimating, and construction inspection for projects ranging from residential and commercial to public and municipal.

Miguel Lopez
Landscape Designer

Miguel has a background in graphic design and fine art with five years of horticulture and residential design experience. Along with artistic visual and design skills, Miguel has an extensive knowledge of the region's native plant life.

Desert Elements works with architects, site planners, and builders to provide permit-ready plans on a timely basis.

Residential

Desert Elements offers Design-By-The-Hour services for residential projects, with a four-hour minimum. Prior to our first visit, you will be supplied with a questionnaire and a plant palette to select from. With these items in hand, our designer will visit with you, walk the site, and draw a rough hand sketch of a landscape concept, during the first 4-hour visit.
